BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (27 Jan 2015) – Indera SC won the 2015 DST Sumbangsih Cup after beating Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) 2-0 last night at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.
The two-time DST Super League champions were more patient of the two as they bid their time until the second half before scoring through Sam Frank and Hamizan Aziz Sulaiman for the win.
The chances were far and in between for Indera as MS ABDB created several chances but neither Abdul Azizi Ali Rahman nor Mohd Baharin Hamidon could make it count.
But just three minutes after the restart, Indera finally broke through off a great solo effort from Frank to beat MS ABDB keeper Mohd Tarmizi Mat Johari.
In the 54th minute, Indera doubled the advantage when Hamizan pounced on a poor back pass to put them in a comfortable position and eventually the first silverware of the new season.
Indera were the 2014 DST Super League champions.
