BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (15 Feb 2013) – Indera Sports Club closed in on DST Super League leaders Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) following their comprehensive 4-0 win over Kilanas FC.
The win has put Indera within three points of the army men, who had the week off.
Captain Mohammad Azwan Ali Rahman nailed a brace alongside the excellent performance of Indera goalkeeper Omar Nur Aqammadin Salehuddin, who saved a penalty.
“It was a very important win for us and I am very happy that we managed to get three points,” said Omar Mohd Jamil, the chief coach of Indera.
“There are only two games left. We will play MS PDB (Royal Brunei Police Forces Sports Council) first and will face MS ABDB after that. If we win against MS PDB, it will be down to our final game against MS ABDB.”
Kilanas could not have started on the worse note when Mohd Razi Lamit conceded an own goal in the 39th minute to give Indera a slim 1-0 lead at the break.
Mohammad Aqmal Hakeem then doubled the lead for Indera three minutes into the second half as Mohammad Azwan scored the first of his two goals in the 56th minute before wrapping things up with a curling shot in the 90th minute.
