JAKARTA (12 Dec 2010) – The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the Jakarta venue has decided to increase the ticket pricing for the two-legged semi-finals between Indonesia and the Philippines which will be held at the Senayan Stadium.
Tickets will go on sale tomorrow. With the Philippines unable to provide a suitable playing venue which meet the standard of the AFF Suzuki Cup, they have been asked to play their first-leg semi-final match on 16 Dec 2010 in Jakarta. The second leg semi-final will be played three days later at the same venue. The price for VVIP tickets have been increased from IDR250,000 (USD28) to IDR500,000 (USD56). “There are limited seats for VVIP where are only printing between 300 to 400 tickets,” said Joko Driyono, the chairman of the LOC. VIP West has been increased from IDR200,000 (USD22) menjadi IDR350,000 (USD39) while for VIP East, which was classified as Category I, has been increased from IDR150,000 (USD17) to IDR250,000 (USD28). Category I tickets has been changed from IDR100,000 (USD11) to IDR150,000 (USD17) while Category II, behind the goalpost, has been re-priced from IDR75,000 (USD8) to IDR100,000 (USD11). Tickets for the general tribue will go on sale at IDR50,000 (USD6). The LOC has also decided to print more tickets for each leg of the semi-final matches where they will print some 70,725 tickets – 10,000 more tickets than for each of the preliminary round matches at the Senayan. “We feel that is necessary to increase the ticket pricing as well as at the same time to print more tickets as we are not getting any subsidy from the AFF for the semi-final matches,” said Nugraha Besoes, the secretary general of the Indonesia FA (PSSI). “For the group matches, we were given USD250,000. So we hope that the fans will buy the tickets early either online or at all available booths in and around the Senayan.” AFF SUZUKI CUP 2010, SEMI-FINALS FIXTURES First-leg – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (BUKIT JALIL NATIONAL STADIUM, KUALA LUMPUR) 15 Dec Malaysia vs Vietnam (2000hrs) First-leg – Jakarta, Indonesia (GELORA BUNG KARNO STADIUM, JAKARTA) 16 Dec Philippines vs Indonesia Second-leg – Hanoi, Vietnam (MY DINH NATIONAL STADIUM, HANOI) 18 Dec Vietnam vs Malaysia (2000hrs) Second-leg – Jakarta, Indonesia (GELORA BUNG KARNO STADIUM, JAKARTA) 16 Dec Indonesia vs Philippines |
