DILI (4 June 2015) – The FIFA Executive Committee took the decision to suspend the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) on May 30, 2015 for serious violations of Articles 13 and 17 of the FIFA Statutes resulting from prolonged government interference in the affairs of the association.
All Indonesian clubs and national teams were prohibited from taking part in any AFC and FIFA competitions with immediate effect. However, the FIFA Executive Committee allowed the Indonesian U-23 national team to continue their participation in the ongoing 2015 SEA Games in Singapore.

Indonesia were drawn in Group F but has now been excluded from the competition. All Indonesia’s scheduled matches, including those in June 2015 (Chinese Taipei v Indonesia on 11 June and Indonesia v Iraq on 16 June), have been cancelled. The calculation of the best second (third/fifth) teams in the competition will follow the circular letter issued to Member Associations on April 29, 2015 (case 2: identifying the best second-placed team if the number of teams in each group varies). All affected parties have been informed.
AFC U-16 and AFC U-19 Championship Qualifiers
Indonesia have been removed from the list of participants in these competitions and will not take part in the draw on June 5. The draw mechanism has been updated and sent to the participating teams. Since the suspension took place prior to the draw, the change does not affect the number of groups in the competition.
AFC U-14 Girls’ Regional Championship
Indonesia have been excluded from Group A, which means both Group A and Group B have four participating teams. The change will affect the start date of the competition for teams in Group A, which is now June 23 (previously June 20). The start date of the competition for teams in Group B remains unchanged. All parties have been informed.

AFC Futsal Championship 2016 Qualifiers (ASEAN Zone – AFF Futsal Championship)
Indonesia were initially designated as the host of this qualifying competition. The AFF has been informed that a new host will be required. Indonesia’s suspension from this competition means that it will be ineligible for the AFC Futsal Championship Uzbekistan 2016, which also serves as a FIFA World Cup qualifier.
AFC Cup 2015
Two Indonesian clubs qualified for the Round of 16 played on May 26 and 27, 2015. However, the match Persipura Jayapura (IDN) vs. Pahang FA (MAS) was not played due to three players from Pahang FA failing to receive entry visas to Indonesia. The AFC Executive Committee decision on this matter will be communicated in due course. Persib Bandung (IDN) was eliminated from the competition on May 27, 2015.
Development
As long as the PSSI is suspended, Indonesian football will also not be able benefit from any AFC and FIFA development programmes. PSSI officials are not allowed to participate in any AFC or FIFA training courses, seminars or workshops.
