JAKARTA (24 May 2009) – Justin Lhaksana, the head coach of the Indonesia Futsal team, is satisfied with the quality of the Indonesia Futsal League (IFL) where it has managed to contribute five new players to the national cause.
The second round of the IFL had just concluded in Bandung, following the first round in Jakarta last month. But time will be a factor against Justin’s preparation for the AFF Futsal Championship next month considering that he will now has less than two weeks to trim the 20 players that he has for the 14 allowed to be registered. The AFF Futsal Championship 2009 will be held on 8-15 June 2009 in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. “We do not have a lot of time for sure, so it is best that we prepare the squad with just the 14 players that we have to work with while in Vietnam,” said Justin (pic). “So we are hoping that we can arrange for at least three to four friendly matches before our departure to Ho Chi Minh City.” The 20 players are currently in training under Justin at Galaxy Sport in Ancol. “There’s a definite increase in quality of the IFL where the five new players that we have called have been very competitive in the selection process,” he added. “But I hope that the new players and the more experienced ones will be able to gel together as a team and play to the scheme which we have drawn up.” INDONESIA FUTSAL TRAINING SQUAD Ade Lesmana, Dede Sulaeman, Yos AW (GK), Hendra K, Indra K, Taufiq, Andre P, M Ihsan, Amril Daulay, Wahyu, Topas Pamungkas, Afif Tamimy, Deni Handoyo, Sayan Karmadi, Alfian, Andaru, Beni Hera, Boas, Echona, Mozes. |
