NAM DINH (14 Nov 2017) – Defending champions Ho Chi Minh City One beat Hanoi One 1-0 to maintain a firm group in the Vietnam National Women’s Football Championship.
Hanoi put up some tough resistance all the way into much of the second half before Ho Chi Minh City One finally cracked in the opener through Phan Thị Trang ten minutes to the end.
After nine matches played so far this season, Ho Chi Minh City One have picked up 24 points while Hanoi One slipped to fourth with 17 points.
In the other match, Ho Chi Minh City Two beat Hanoi Two 2-0 with the goals coming off Nguyen Thị Tuyet Mai in the 44th minute before Nguyen Thị Thanh Tam doubled the advantage in the 55th minute of play.
