Vietnam PETALING JAYA (7 Feb 2009) – Harimau Muda won the Hong Kong Invitational Youth Tournament this year after winning both their matches in the competition.
In the first game against Chinese club side Shen Zhen, the young Malaysian side scored their only goal of the game through Mohd Fadhli Mohd Shas. They then beat hosts Hong Kong 2-0 in their second match to lift the crown this year. Harimau Muda made sure of the win with goals off Ahmad Fakri Saarani in the 15th minute before Mohd Sharul Hafiz Shafie nailed the second goal ten minutes after the restart. Other than winning the top prize, Harimau Muda also took two other individual awards when Mohd Afizze Faizal Mamat was selected as the tournament’s best player and Sasikumar Kishok Kumar taking the best goalkeeper title. |
