HANOI (6 May 2019) – A pulsating 2-2 draw against Binh Duong was still enough for defending champions Hanoi FC to stay top of the 2019 Wake Up 247 V.League 1.
In the match that was played at the Go Dau Stadium in the southern province of Binh Duong, it was the home team who took a quick 2-0 lead before Hanoi staged a fabulous fightback to bring home the one point.
Just five minutes in, Wander Luiz Queiroz Dias gave the home team plenty to cheer when he beat Hanoi goalie Nguyen Van Cong from close.
And just several minutes later, To Van Vu doubled Binh Duong’s advantage when he made good on the pass from striker Nguyen Anh Duc.
But Hanoi responded with their first goal of the game through import Ganiyu Bolaji Oseni.
The late equalizer came in late in injury time when Nguyen Thanh Chung capitalised on a defensive mistake.
Elsewhere, Hoang Anh Gia Lai beat Nam Dịnh 2-0 at the Pleiku Stadium as Da Nang beat Quang Ninh Coal 1-0, Sai Gon edged Hai Phong 1-0, and Viettel drew goalless with Sông Lam Nghệ An.
