HO CHI MINH CITY (1 Dec 2015) – Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) Under-21 team won the Thanh Nien Newspaper U21 Football Championship when they beat the South Korean U19 team 2-0 in the final.
In the game that was played at the Thong Nhat Stadium, striker Nguyen Cong Phuong nailed the opener with a 30m drive before a one-two with Nguyen Van Toan delivered them the second goal.
In the meantime, the Singapore U21 team took third spot after beating their Vietnam counterparts 6-5 on penalties.
The score at the end of regulation was 1-1.
