HO CHI MINH CITY (7 Nov 2017) – Phong Phu Ha Nam failed to take over the top spot in the second leg of the Vietnam National Women’s Football Championship when they were held to a disappointing scoreless draw by Vietnam Coal and Mineral.
Needing the full points to go top of the table, Ha Nam’s failure to take advantage of playing at home handed the initiative to third-placed Vietnam Coal and Mineral.
With the draw, HCM City 1 still maintained their top spot at the table with 18 points, to be followed by Ha Nam on 17 points and Vietnam Coal and Mineral with 15 points.
Elsewhere, Thai Nguyen crushed Son La 2-1 in an earlier match which served as the opening tie of the second leg of the Vietnam National Women’s Football Championship.
