HO CHI MINH CITY (12 May 2017) – Vietnam Coal and Mineral made a grand start to the opening game to the National Women’s Football Championship 2017 when they beat defending champions HCM City One 2-0 at the Thong Nhat Stadium.
First-half goals from Tran Thị Thu and also Nguyen Thị Vạn were enough for Coal and Mineral although HCM City tried to get back into the game in the second half but to no avail.
In the other match, HCM City Twi conceded a 1-0 loss to Son La.
