MANILA (29 June 2016) – With a five-point lead and five more games to go to the end of the season, Global FC are in a comfortable position as they look to land their second double in five years.
Global have won 12 of their last 13 matches where they have amassed 37 points – seven points ahead of second placed Loyola Meralco Spark and eight points ahead of third-placed and defending champions Ceres.
“For us, we just got to keep that gap between us and the pack. If we can do that, the rest of the pack can fight for second. That’s quite a nice thing to be standing at,” said team manager Leigh Manson.
“We’ve got two really big games that will go a long way to deciding who wins the title,” he added.
