JAKARTA (20 Feb 2013) – A goal apiece from Gavin Kwan Adsit and Evan Dimas gave Indonesia a hard fought 2-0 win over hosts Hong Kong in their second game of the Hong Kong FA International Under-19 Championship.
After drawing 2-2 against Singapore in their first match, the Indonesia U19 team has now picked up four points from two matches with their final game in the round robin competition against Malaysia yet to play.
In the match against Hong Kong, the visiting side scored through Gavin Kwan Adsit in the 23rd minute and captain Evan Dimas six minutes to the end.
But as chief coach Indra Sjafri pointed out there are still areas for improvement and they must do better against Malaysia later today.
“We are well on the way to achieving our target which is to defend the crown we won last year,” said Indra. “But the players must polish their finishing touch considering the chances we created.”
