KUALA LUMPUR (24 April 2015) – The Malaysian national Futsal team made a fruitful trip to Thailand last week as they gear up for the AFF Futsal Championship at the end of the year.
The Malaysian team under Marcelo Serpa recorded two wins and one loss from three friendly matches played.
They beat CAT 7-6 before beating Chonburi 5-4. But in their last friendly against Bangkok FC, the Malaysians were overwhelmed 7-1.
The Malaysians will be heading to Japan and New Zealand as part of their preparation for the AFF meet this year which will be used as the qualifiers for the AFC Futsal Championship in 2016.
Only the top three teams from the AFF tournament will make the cut for the AFC event.
