HO CHI MINH CITY (13 March 2024) – The Vietnam Futsal national team will take part in a four-team tournament at the end of this month as they gear up for the AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2024 in April.
Other than host Vietnam, the other teams taking part are Asian powerhouse Iran, Morocco and New Zealand on 28-31 March 2024.
“I have to thank the Vietnam Football Federation for organising this international tournament with strong, top teams in the world where each had participated in the FIFA Futsal World Cup previously,” said Vietnam Futsal head coach Diego Raul Giustozzi.
“I told the VFF that we must play against strong teams to help the players improve and from there the whole team can improve. This tournament is a great opportunity to evaluate the players’ abilities.”
The team had already started centralised training this week.
