FOOTBALL EXPO TO KICK OFF INDONESIA SUPER LEAGUE

Several activities have been planned for the Football Expo where there are also prizes and packages to be offered to football fans.

Slated for 4-6 July 2008, the Football Expo will be used as the official launch of the Indonesia Super League where an exhibition match between the League Selection team against Uruguayan club side Penarol will also be held on the final day of the exhibition at the Stadium Utama Gelora Bung Karno.

Penarol is one of the bigger clubs in Uruguay and who had previously featured players like Diego Forlan and Jose Luis Chilavert.

They had won the Copa Libertadores in 1960, 1961, 1966, 1982 and 1987.

In the meantime, the schedule for the Indonesia Super League 2008 has been completed with the first match day on 12 July 2008 which will see Sriwijaya FC taking on Persipura, Pelita Jaya up against Persiba and Persita entertaining Arema at home.
