MANILA (1 March 2013) – After three straight losses, Green Archers FC finally picked up their first win of the season when they beat Air Force FC 4-1.
Two quick goals within a space of just three minutes gave Green Archers FC the lead off goals from Jesus Melliza in the 22nd minute and former Air Force striker Chieffy Caligdong two minutes later.
And while Gustilo did pull a goal back for Air Force in the 33rd minute of play, Green Archers made sure of the full points off goals from Aguisanda just five minutes after the restart and then Pasilan in the 62nd minute.
In the meantime, Loyola kept up the pressure at the top of the UFL with a 3-0 whitewash of PSG. The goals coming off Mark Hartmann in the first half and then Jang and Phil Younghusband after the break.
