MANILA (15 April 2013) – As Loyola Meralco Sparks conceded their first defeat of the season at the Emperador Stadium, Stallion FC moved up to the top of Division One of the United Football League (UFL) this week following the fabulous comeback win.
Stallion FC capped Loyola 4-2.
Phil Younghusband gave Loyola the lead when he rounded off Stallion central back Kim Hyo Il to score the first goal of the game in the 30th minute before striker Rufo Sanchez then replied with the equaliser seven minutes later with a left foot shot.
But barely a minute later, Matthew Hartmann made good on a defensive slip up to once again put Loyala in front at the break.
Lee Joo Young then struck a dramatic equaliser just after the restart to put both teams on level terms before Stallion then took the lead for the first time in the game in the 57th minute off midfielder Hector Zaghi.
Several yellow cards later saw both teams having to play with just ten men but Stallion made sure of the three points when substitute Nathan Alquiros fired in the fourth goal for Stallion deep in injury time.
