SINGAPORE (12 Oct 2012) – Balestier Khalsa’s goalkeeper Joey Sim has earned his first Lion’s cap ahead of the friendly match against India on 16 October at the Choa Chu Kang Stadium.
A total of 24 players have been called up for the centralised training camp under chief coach Radojko Avramovic where other than Joey, the other goalkeepers in the team are Hyrulnizam Juma’at and Izwan Mahbud from LIONSXII.
More than half of the squad are from the LIONSXII team playing in the Malaysian Super League.
Singapore are using the friendly as part of their preparation for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 next month where they are placed in Group B alongside hosts Malaysia, Indonesia and the runners-up team from the qualifiers
Tickets for the friendly match against India are priced at SGD 10 and SGD 2 for students and senior citizens.
