FIL U16 TO TAKE PART IN TWO-DAY FOOTBALL FESTIVAL

BACOLOD CITY (11 Sept 2009) – The Philippines Under-16 team will be taking part in the 1st doc Eric 7-aside Football Festival in preparation for the AFC U16 qualifiers next month.

The 1st doc Eric 7-aside Football Festival will begin tomorrow and ends the day after and will be played at the Carlos Hilado Memorial State College football grounds.

The 1st Doc Eric is organized by the City Government of Talisay City under Mayor Eric Saratan in cooperation with the Executive Village Football Club headed by businessman Rafael Lizares.

The competition will be for both boys and girls Under-13, boys and girls Under-16, as well as open categories.

The AFC U16 Group E qualifier will be held at the Panaad Sports & Recreational Park pitch here in Bacolod City on 3-13 October, 2009.

The other participating teams are Japan, Chinese Taipei, Mongolia, Indonesia and Bangladesh.
