PHNOM PENH (5 August 2010) – The Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC) have appointed Sejin Yeo as the new chief coach to replace Scott O’Donell in preparation for the qualifying round of the AFF Cup 2010 which will be held in October this year.
The appointment of the A-licensed coach came following the formal recommendation of the 38-year-old Sejin from the South Korea FA. Sejin had previously coach the South Korea women’s national team as well as stints at club level. Even though there have been no announcement as to Sejin’s arrival into Phnom Penh, it is believed that the Korean might be available for the Super 4 playoffs action of the ongoing Metfone C-League this Sunday. FFC Deputy General Secretary May Tola said the federation had already enlisted the help of a few assistant coaches to identify around 40 ‘good players’ for national team consideration. League coaches were also asked to recommend two or three of their best players for a preparatory camp in the off-season. |
