SINGAPORE (4 Feb 2015) – The FA of Singapore (FAS) are pleased to announce that they have formed a strategic partnership with leading international media rights company MP & Silva to create new revenue streams that can help grow and elevate local football.
The partnership was announced at a press conference that was witnessed by Singapore’s Culture, Community and Youth Minister Lawrence Wong who was the Guest of Honour for the occasion.
MP & Silva will play a major role in the development of Singapore football over the next six years, covering the global media rights to FAS’ national and age-group teams, sponsorship rights and international events for the Singapore Lions and National age group squads.
The agreement is valued at more than S$25 million over this period.
Apart from offering consultancy for FAS’ media rights, restructuring FAS’ sponsorship packages to maximise the commercial value of the Singapore national teams and finding new sponsors and commercial opportunities for the FAS, MP & Silva will also help the national sports organisation to enhance Singapore football’s yearly calendar of events, and seek out developmental opportunities for their national teams and players.
For example, FAS will be able to tap on MP & Silva’s extensive connections and relationships with national leagues and federations around the world. These collaborations include opportunities for training stints, sports science knowledge exchange and other exchange programmes.

MP & Silva is an important key player in the football industry and we are delighted to work with them to revolutionise the way we market football and promote our national teams and enhancing fan support and engagement,” said Zainudin Nordin, the president of the FAS.
“This partnership underlines the FAS’ seriousness about developing football commercially while engaging the community and youths. It will also help us to ensure that our elite programmes are enhanced through this partnership. We look forward to the close collaboration with MP & Silva in the coming years.”
