SINGAPORE (2 Nov 2012) – The FA of Singapore (FAS) will be organising the NexLions Cup to develop their Under-19 players on 14-16 December.
Other than the host, the NexLions will feature the English youth teams of Manchester United and Liverpool, as well as Sporting Lisbon of Portugal.
All matches will be played at the Jalan Besar Stadium.
“The FAS have a great tradition of producing technically good footballers through our National Football Academy and other youth development initiatives,” said Zainudin Nordin, president of FAS.
“With the NexLions Cup starting this year, it will allow the youngsters another global platform to bring their ‘A’ game forward and experience what it is like to be up against quality opposition like Liverpool, Manchester United and Sporting Lisbon.”
