SINGAPORE (25 May 2016) – The FA of Singapore (FAS) are expected to announce V. Sundramoorthy as the new boss following the departure of Bernd Stange last month.
Sundram as he is more fondly known as, is expected to leave his current position at Home United to take up the hot seat, with his first assignment being the Quadrangular Tournament in Myanmar in early June.
It is the first time the FAS have entrusted a local to handle the team following Vincent Subramaniam’s stint in 1998 to 2000.
Other than the Quadrangular meet in Yangon where Singapore will be up against hosts Myanmar, Vietnam and Hong Kong, the tournament will also be used to test players for the year-end biggie which is the AFF Suzuki Cup 2016.
The group stage of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2016 will be played in Myanmar and the Philippines.
