PETALING JAYA (23 Feb 2014) – The FA of Malaysia (FAM) have launched the “Love Football, Stop Hooliganism” campaign – aimed at stemming the spread of football violence in the M-League.
Several M-League matches have been marred by crowd trouble which prompted FAM deputy president Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah to remind supporters to behave themselves.
“I hope the hooliganism cases in the M-League are isolated incidents,” said Tengku Abdullah. “I don’t want the phenomenon to spread in Malaysia.
“This campaign will be a reminder to all supporters to obey the law at all times. Everyone wants to enjoy football and it’s not fair for innocent parties to be injured because of the unsporting actions of a few irresponsible fans.”
