BANGKOK (4 Sept 2012) – Former coach of England and Sweden, Sven Goran Eriksson has signed up as the technical director for one of Thailand’s biggest clubs – BEC Tero Sasana.
“He will work closely with the staff starting with the next match against Chainat FC on Saturday. He will stay with the club until the end of the season,” said Robert Procureur, the club’s general manager to the Bangkok Post.
“The club and the new technical director will then sit down to talk about his future with BEC Tero Sasana after the TPL campaign is over.”
It is understood that Eriksson will be in charge of technical development and improving tactics for the players, and will be on the sideline of the pitch to help the staff coach in every match.
BEC Tero, league champions in 2000 and 2001, are currently placed fourth in the TPL.
