SABAH (June 7, 2007) – The Indonesian Under-13 squad scored an enviable record at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-13 Festival of Football which was held in Kota Kinabalu in Sabah.
The youth side from Indonesia scored four wins and two draws in the six matches they have played. The U13 Indonesian side beat Australia 9-0, Brunei 2-0, Vietnam 3-0 and then Singapore 1-0. However they were scoreless against Myanmar before being held to a 1-1 draw by Philippines. “Green cards are for players who were deemed to be the best in terms of skills as well as in their sportsmanship,” added Dedi, one of four players from Indonesia who won the Green Card award at the Festival of Football.
