PETALING JAYA (14 May 2014) – German Gert Engels have been listed as the latest candidate to join the fray for the top Malaysian job.
The 57-year-old former assistant coach with Japanese champions Urawa Red Diamonds and who was also the chief coach of Mozambique is in Kuala Lumpur to hold talks with officials from the FA of Malaysia (FAM).
Other than Engels, the other coaches which the FAM have been giving due consideration are former Thailand coach Peter Reid, and also former Leeds United manager David O’ Leary.
Datuk Ong Kim Swee and also Dollah Salleh are also in FAM’s radar.
