EMPIRE TO PLAY YOUNG LIONS IN SINGAPORE CUP OPENER

The Cambodian outfit will be taking part in the preliminary round of the championship this year which will kick-off on 6 May 2008 at the Jalan Besar Stadium.

Three other foreign teams – DPMM FC from Brunei, Bangkok University and Tobacco Monopoly from Thailand – will take on Woodlands Wellington, Albirex Niigata and Gombak United respectively.

Defending champions SAFFC will defend their crown against Balestier Khalsa on 9 May 2008 at the Choa Chu Kang Stadium.
