JAKARTA (20 July 2016) – With just over a month to go to the AFF Under-19 Championship in Hanoi, the FA of Indonesia (PSSI) have appointed Eduard Tjong as the new head coach.
Eduard is the former coach of PS TNI playing in the Indonesian Soccer Championship (ISC).
“He was chosen because of his extensive development in youth coaching,” said PSSI General Secretary PSSI this week.
“He has his own football academy in Solo and he is also a former national player. So it was only natural that we choose him.”
However, Eduard’s performance as head coach of PS TNI has not been exemplary as he failed to bring the team to the top half of the ISC.
Out of seven matches played, Eduard has yet to win one match where he recorded three draws and four losses.
