KUALA LUMPUR (6 Aug 2011) – Defending champions Kelantan will have it easier in their title defence of the Malaysia Cup 2011 when they were drawn in a relatively easier Group C this year.
The east coast side, who narrowly missed the Malaysian FA Cup crown this season, have been drawn against Johor FC, Felda United FC and Sarawak in Group C following the official draw which was held at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.
Selangor, the 32-time champions of the Malaysia Cup, have also been drawn in a lesser weight group against Terengganu T-Team, Kuala Lumpur and Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) in Group D.
For former champions Kedah however, they will have it tougher for a place in the quarter-finals when were picked to be in Group A against Perak, Sabah and Johor.
FA Cup champions Terengganu are in Group B against Negeri Sembilan, Selangor PKNS and Kuala Lumpur Sime Darby FC.
