JAKARTA (14 July 2013) – English Premier League outfit Arsenal made it all too easy in Jakarta when they scored an emphatic 7-0 win over an Indonesian Selection side tonight at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
Theo Walcott gave Arsenal the lead 19 minutes into the game for Arsene Wenger’s men to troop off confident on a goal’s advantage at the break.
Further goals from 18-year-old Chuba Akpom just eight minutes after the restart and then a double from Olivier Giroud (71st and 74th minute) ensured Arsenal a comfortable 4-0 lead.
However, the visitors were anything but finished as Lukas Podolski (83rd minute) and then Kristoffer Olsson (85th) as well as Thomas Eisfeld (87th) found the back of the net for the final score line.
Arsenal’s next stop will be Hanoi, Vietnam where they have been penciled in to play Vietnam Selection on 17 July at the My Dinh National Stadium.
