BANGKOK (25 Feb, 2008) – Four goals from Eakapong Suratsawang gave Chonburi Bluewave a valuable 4-3 win over league leaders Port Authority as they maintained a one-point differential at the top of the Thai Futsal League 2007-2008.
The Thai international made sure of the full points for Chonburi with goals in the 15th, 28th, 35th and 38th minute as twin brother Eakaphan Suratsawang added the other goal in the 26th minute after Prasert Innui had scored the first goal in the 11th minute. But Port Authority had only themselves to blame where after scoring four goals just before the break – Wuttichai Thintawee (4th and 8th minute), Tanakorn Santanaprasit (8th minute) and Alongkorn Prathumwong (19th minute) – they just lost steam in the second half to concede the game. The full points for Chonburi gave them 44 points from 17matches – just a point behind current leaders Port Authority while TOT remained on third with 43 points. TOT kept pace with the league leaders following their pulsating 7-6 win over RBAC as CAT Telecom maintained their fourth spot at the table with an 11-7 beating of Nonthaburi. TOT’s goals were scored by Sirirote Panyateerawong (11th minute), Akkadej Chuayklaai (11th minute), Songwut Buapetch (16th and 30th minute), Panomkorn Saisorn (20th minute), Nattaphan Namboonmee (21st minute) and Parinya Pandee (33rd minute). The next match in the league will be played on 29 Feb, 2008. CURRENT THAI FUTSAL LEAGUE STANDINGS 1. PORT AUTHORITY OF THAILAND 45pts (+52) 2. CHONBURI BLUE WAVE 44pts (+48) 3. TOT 43pts (-23) 4.
