HANOI (2 Sept 2017) – Mai Du Chung has been appointed as the acting head coach of the Vietnam national team.
The Vietam Football Federation (VFF) made the announcement following the recent resignation of Nguyen Huu Thang, who failed to take the team past the group stage of the men’s football event at KL2017.
Duc Chung had only recently guided the Vietnam women’s football team to the gold medal at the SEA Games despite coming up with some tough oppositions from Thailand.
His first assignment would be for the Asian Cup qualifying match against Cambodia on 5 September.
