BANGKOK (11 July 2012) – Thailand are in Group A of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 against Vietnam, the Philippines and the winning team from the qualifiers while Malaysia are in Group B against Indonesia, Singapore and the runners-up team from the qualifying round.
The official draw for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 was made this afternoon at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Bangkok.
The qualifying round of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 will be played on 5-13 October in Yangon, Myanmar while the final round of the meet will begin on 24 November.
The draw was attended by His Royal Highness Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, the president of the Asean Football Federation (AFF) who is also the president of the FA of Malaysia (FAM) and Datuk Worawi Makudi, the president of the FA of Thailand (FAT) as well as other officials and dignitaries from the 11 member associations.
