HA NAM (22 June 2015) – Vietnam Coal and Minerals hope of bridging the game on National Women’s Football Championship leaders HCM City fell by the wayside on the weekend when they were held to a 2-2 draw by a resurgent Hanoi 2.
In the rounds of matches being played in Ha Nam Province, struggling Hanoi 2 showed that there is still fight in them to deny Coal and Mineral the full points.
Hanoi 2 opened account early in the 14th minute through Bach Thu Hien before Coal and Mineral replied with the short range equalizer four minutes later.
Coal and Minerals then grabbed the lead for the first time in the match just ten minutes after the restart off Tran Thi Thu kicked as Thu Hien then fired in her second goal of the game 15 minutes later.
With the one point, Coal and Minerals are fourth at the table with 14 points – 12 points adrift of leaders HCM City.
After 12 matches, HCM City have picked up 26 points, to be followed by Hanoi 1 (25 points), and hosts Phong Phu Ha Nam (14 points).
