HANOI (22 May 2011) – Defending champions Hanoi T&T were served with a dose of reality when they stumbled to a 2-0 loss to Hoa Phat Hanoi in the 15th match day of the V-League.
Despite some earlier pressure from the visiting Hanoi T&T side, it was to be the homesters who grabbed the lead when defender Cassiano heade home in the eighth minute off a cross from Thanh Trung.
The score at the half was 1-0 to the advantage of Hoa Phat.
Hanoi T&T upped the tempo in the second half, but they just can’t find a way through past Hoa Phat’s defence.
This failure allowed the home team to once again push forward and in the very last minute of play, Olushola scored the second goal to guarantee them the full points.
With the win, Hoa Phat moved up to sixth at the table while Hanoi T&T remained fifth.
