JAKARTA (27 Nov 2008) – Indonesian football fans who get themselves organised into fans club are set to enjoy discounted tickets when the AFF Suzuki Cup 2008 kicks off early next month.
The Indonesian local organising committee of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2008 had already made prior arrangements with several fan clubs to get the fans organised into supporting Indonesia’s campaign for the biennial championship. These fans clubs are set to enjoy up to 20% discount on tickets in the Group A matches in Jakarta which feature hosts Indonesia, Singapore, Myanmar and Cambodia. “The AFF Suzuki Cup 2008 is a prestigious event and naturally, we want the supporters to get behind the Indonesian national team when they come to watch them play at the Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno,” said Djoko Driyono, from the LOC. Towards making sure that the Indonesian national team get the support, the LOC has already held coordination meetings with several big fan clubs like Jakmania, Slemania, Viking and a few others. “The discount will only apply to those fans who are part of the fan clubs and those who are wearing the red and white,” added Driyono. |
