SIDOARJO (26 March 2015) – A defensive-minded Indonesian side took in just a slim 1-0 defeat at the hands of Cameroon in the game that was played at the Gelora Delta Sidoarjo Stadium last night.
The only goal of the game came in the 35th minute off Vincent Aboubacar, who made good a cross from Hendri Bedimo.
“We have to be realistic against a quality side like Cameroon,” said Indonesian assistant coach Widodo C Putro. “We have been working on the defence for the last two days.
“There were some good moments and we thought that the best method would be to rely on the counter-attacks.”
Indonesia are preparing the squad for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers in June.
