PETALING JAYA (24 June 2013) – Lt Jen Dato’ Azzuddin Ahmad (Retired) will officially join the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) on 1 July 2013.
In a Press Statement that was released today, Dato’ Azzuddin said:
“I, Lt Jen Dato’ Azzuddin Ahmad (Retired), the General Secretary of the FA of Malaysia (FAM) would like announce that I have received the appointment letter as the General Secretary of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) from KDYMM Sultan Ahmad Shah, the President of the AFF, on Sunday 23 June 2013, with effect from 1 July 2013.
With this, I would like to record my highest gratitude and appreciation to all Editors, Producers and also Journalists from both the written as well as the electronic press who have given their support and cooperation in supporting Malaysian football since I took over the position of FAM General Secretary on 17 September 2007.
I would like to state that I take all the criticisms whether positive or otherwise with a sense of goodwill as I realized that in whatever issues that was raised; there are always differences in views and understanding.
I also would like to extend my sincere apologies if I had rubbed certain quarters the wrong way in the execution of my duty as the General Secretary of the FAM.
With that, I would like to once again extend my deepest gratitude to all parties concerned and hope that we can continue with our working relationship in my new capacity at the AFF.

PRESS STATEMENT

Saya, Lt Jen Dato’ Azzuddin Ahmad (Bersara), Setiausaha Agung Persatuan Bolasepak Malaysia (FAM), ingin memaklumkan bahawa saya telah menerima surat perlantikkan sebagai Setiausaha Agung Persatuan Bolasepak ASEAN (AFF) dari KDYMM Sultan Ahmad Shah, Presiden AFF, pada hari Ahad 23 Jun 2013, untuk mengisi jawatan Setiausaha Agung AFF mulai 1 Julai 2013.
Di kesempatan ini, saya ingin merakamkan setinggi-tinggi penghargaan dan ucapan ribuan terima kasih kepada semua Editor, Penerbit dan wartawan sukan media cetak dan elektronik, yang telah memberi kerjasama dan bantuan dari segi terutamanya liputan sukan bolasepak Negara sejak saya menjawat jawatan Setiausaha Agung FAM pada 17 September 2007 sehingga sekarang. Saya mengambil iktibar dari semua kitikan yang membina dan menerima semua kritikan negatif dengan hakikat di dalam apa jua isu wujudnya pendapat dan fahaman yang berlainan.
Seterusnya, saya memohon ribuan maaf sekiranya di dalam jawatan Setiausaha Agung FAM, saya terkasar bahasa dan tersalah laku terhadap mana-mana pihak.
Akhir kata, adalah diharapkan saya akan dapat kerjasama dan bantuan dari semua pihak di dalam jawatan baru saya.
