HANOI (24 May 2010) – Defending champions Da Nang moved two points clear at the top of the V-League with two quick second-half goals to claw back for a 3-2 win over Megastar Nam Dinh at home at the Chi Lang Stadium.
Despite the early domination, Da Nang had to wait until the 24th minute before taking the lead off youngster Ha Minh Tuan. But Nam Dinh were determined to win the full points as they struck back before the closing stages of the first half to score twice from Nguyen Luong Phuc and Philips to put the visiting side 2-1 in front. And right at the hour mark, Da Nang came back with two goals – Hung Son and Brazilian Rogerio – in four minutes to put themselves back into the 3-2 lead. While Nam Dinh desperately tried to fin the equaliser, the goal never came as the central city side are now on 27 points – two points clear of second-placed Ha Noi T&T. Hanoi had beaten two-times V-league champions Hoang Anh Gia Lai 1-0. In the other matches, Khanh Hoa fell to a 3-1 loss to Hoa Phat Ha Noi 3-1; Binh Duong crushed Hai Phong Cement 3-1; and Dong Tam Long An were held to a 1-1 draw by Navibank Sai Gon. Thanh Hoa drew scoreless against Dong Thap, while Song Lam Nghe An and Ninh Binh’s game also ended in a deadlock. |
