PHNOM PENH (13 Jan 2013) –Former champions Naga Corp FC made a crushing to the Metfone Cambodia League 2013 when they thumped Senate General Secretariat 6-1 yesterday at the National Olympic Stadium.
Naga were in front as early as the eighth minute through Choun Chhum before Kub I Sa added the second goal seven minutes later. The rest of their goals came off Teab Vathanak (52nd minute), Prak Chanratana (76th) and Pen Stephane (86th).
An goal from Senate’s Sun Meng Hoth four minutes after restart was he icing on the cake for Naga as the former scored their only goal in the game in the 26th minute off Ron Chibola.
Another former champions Phnom Penh Crown also began their campaign on the right note when they edged Build Bright United 2-1 off a brace from international Khim Borey (14th and 26th minute).
Build Bright’s goal was scored by Blung Chanthou in the 17th minute of play.
On the other hand, National Police scored an outright 2-0 win over National Defense with Sob Ravy and Srey Odom finding the back of the net in the 60th and 72nd minute respectively.
