CRUCIAL WIN AT THE TOP FOR DA NANG

HANOI (13 May 2009) – SHB Da Nang scored an important victory at the top of the V-League when they beat Khanh Hoa 3-2 on the road at the Nha Trang Stadium.

As a result, Da Nang (pic) are now five points clear at the top of the table with 24 points following the drawn 3-3 match between Thanh Hoa and Dong Thap while hosts Ho Chi Minh City club were held 1-1 by Nam Dinh.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai hammered defending champions Binh Duong 2-1 at Pleiku stadium while Song Lam Nghe An beat visitors T&T Hanoi 2-1.

Meanwhile The Cong, with new manager Le Thuy Hai, defeated Dong Tam Long An 2-1 at Hang Day Stadium as Hai Phong earned a 2-1 victory over Military Zone 4.

Khanh Hoa, Dong Thap, Song Lam Nghe An and Hoang Anh Gia Lai have 19 points each, but Khanh Hoa are second at the table on better goal difference.

Following their win over Dong Tam Long An, The Cong moved into tenth from 13th while Ho Chi Minh City club, T&T Hanoi and Nam Dinh are at the bottom of the table.
