PHNOM PENH (25 June 2012) – One of Cambodia’s foremost club Phnom Penh Crown FC have made an official bid to host the AFC President’s Cup final this September.
Crown, who were the losing finalist of the same tournament last year, are up against two other clubs – Istiklol of Tajikistan and Dordoi Dyanamo of Kyrgyzstan – for the rights to win the hosting job.
The AFC President’s Cup final in September will be participated by Phnom Phen Crown, Istiklol, Dordoi Dyanmo, Al Amma’ri of Palestine, Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) FC of Pakistan and defending champions Taiwan Power Company.
It is expected that the AFC will make an official announcement on the winner in July after they carry out inspection visits to all three interested bidders.
