KUALA LUMPUR (12 Oct 2012) – LIONS XII assistant coach Abdul Kadir Abdullah believes the team can take home some pointers for the future from their Malaysia Cup exit at the hands of Armed Forces at the Selayang Stadium yesterday.
The visiting side were well on their way to the final but Marlon Alex James had other plans as his header in the dying seconds of the match stunned Lions XII. Extra time could not find a winner and Armed Forces won 5-4 in the penalty shootout.
