JAKARTA (8 April 2008) – After the last two defeats, the 4-0 win over Cerrito was a welcomed relief for the Indonesian national Under-16 team in what was only their fourth game in the Uruguayan Quinta Division 2008.
Two goals off Sahlan Sodiq and one each from Syamsir Alam and Novri Setiawan gave the young Indonesian side six points from the four league matches played thus far. “It is true that Cerrito is one of the weaker teams in the league but the players played very well and they played to instruction and that is important,” said an official. After four games in the league, Indonesia have scored six goals and conceded five goals. They will face their toughest game yet when they face league leaders River Plate next week. |
