BANGKOK (23 June 2009) – Chonburi Bluewave put up a commanding display on the weekend to thrash Sripatum University 11-3 as they opened up a two-point lead at the top of the Thai Futsal League 2009.
Natapol Sutiroj started the ball rolling with the first goal in the third minute and from then on, Chonburi did not look back as they added further goals through Kritsada Wongkeaw (11th,32nd and 34th minute), Supawut Thueanklang (12th and 31st), Natee Tusiri (13th,16th and 29th) and Anucha Munjarern (22nd and 25th). Sripatum’s goals were scored by Kitiwat Chaipak (22nd and 37th minute) and Wichaya Ratanachai (33rd). In the meantime, second-placed CAT Telecom fell to a 5-1 defeat to Bangkok Glass despite going ahead in the 19th minute through Tananchai Chomboon. But Bangkok Glass fought back after the break as Monton Boonnapawilai (23rd and 36th minute), Witoon Tapina (26th) and Yutasil Suwanprasert (32nd and 39th) all made the score sheet to hand CAT Telecom their second loss of the season.
