PHNOM PENH (18 Aug 2011) – A hat trick from Chuon Chum this week led Naga Corp FC to a 5-0 thrashing of struggling Chhlam Samut as they kept up the pace with current league leaders Phnom Penh Crown FC at the top of the Metfone Cambodia League 2011 standings.
Chuon was on target with goals in the 45th, 58th and 87th minute as Obioh Julius (40th minute) as well as an own goal from Santhidat in the 46th minute ensured Naga the full points.
With the win, Naga have picked up 34 points – seven points behind Phnom Penh Crown – although the former still has a game in hand.
On the other hand, Phnom Penh Crown maintained their consistency with another fine performance to beat National Defense 1-0 with the only goal in the game coming in the 26th minute off Cambodian international Kouch Sokumpheak.
