BANGKOK (1 August 2009) – International Supawut Thueanklang blasted a personal best of four goals to steer Chonburi Bluewave 7-4 past Bangkok Glass as they remained firmly at the top of the Thai Futsal League.
Supawut’s goals (6th,36th, 37th and 38th) were enough to give Chonburi the win as Jirawat Sornwichian (15th and 35th minute) and Ekapan Suratsawang (30th) scored the other goals for them to be two points ahead of second-placed CAT Telecom. CAT Telecom were also winners on the day when they edged Suratthani Lightning Shrimp 4-2 with goals off Roni Dos Reis Rezende in the tenth minute, Alongkorn Pratoomwong (11th), Thananchai Chomboon (29th) and Guilherme Da Silva (37th). While third-placed I AM Sport came off 5-4 over Bangkok, the biggest winner on the day was defending champions Port Authority of Thailand who blasted Sripatum 10-1 for them to strengthen their fourth position at the table. Suchin Eamchalat nailed a hat-trick with goals in the 10th, 12th and 31st minute as Tanakorn Santanaprasit (1st and 15th minute) and Wiwat Sriyanong (18th and 35th) each contributed a brace.
