CHONBURI GO TOP WITH TWO WINS OUT OF TWO

Under the guidance of former Thai captain Kiatisuk Senamuang, the Pattaya-based side scored a slim 1-0 win over BEC Tero Sasana in their opening league match late last month.

They then went on to edge Osotsapa FC with another 1-0 win in their second game in the league.

In the meantime, defending champions Provincial Electric Authority (PEA) failed to inject any semblance of authority into their game when they faltered to a 1-0 loss to Osotsapa in the opener.

But PEA bounced back in their second game of the season to beat BEC Tero Sasana 1-0 as they ended the week on eighth in the standings.
